What we collect
If you sign up via the /join form, we store your name, phone number, IP address, and browser user-agent (for abuse prevention). If you text grip — before or after approval — we store the text of your messages with grip, including any photos you send as MMS, your SMS compliance state (subscribed / unsubscribed), and any workout, meal, weigh-in, or preference data you share during coaching.
How we use it
Entirely to operate grip's coaching service for you: replying to your messages, generating workout plans, logging what you eat and weigh, sending reminders, and — only when you explicitly opt in — routing friend-poke messages between you and other beta users. We do not sell or share your data for third-party marketing.
Service providers
Messages are sent via Twilio (United States). Coaching replies are generated by Anthropic's Claude API (United States). Both providers process data under their own privacy terms. We send them only what's needed to respond to your messages. MMS photos you send are temporarily processed by Claude for macro estimation and are not stored server-side beyond the original Twilio media URL, which requires Twilio auth to fetch.
Retention
Data is retained while your number is active. You can request full deletion at any time by replying STOP and contacting the operator below; we will purge within 30 days.
Your rights
Reply STOP at any time to cease all messages. Reply HELP at any time for support. Contact the operator for data export or deletion.
